Areas We Serve across Phoenix, AZ

Technicians work every part of the city of Phoenix, from the older streets of Encanto and Central City to the newer homes of Desert Ridge and Laveen. Request a callback and say your neighborhood or nearest cross streets.

Phoenix urban villages and neighborhoods

The city plans itself in fifteen urban villages, and each has its own mix of houses and garage doors. The groups below cover where most calls come from.

Camelback East: Arcadia and Biltmore

Ranch homes on large irrigated lots, many rebuilt or expanded, with wide custom doors, insulated steel and real wood. Heavy doors here often run on larger springs and quiet belt or wall-mount openers, and the springs are sized to each door's real weight.

Central City and Encanto: Roosevelt Row and the historic districts

Historic districts, bungalows and older homes with detached garages off alleys. Single-car openings, original springs, swing-up conversions and narrow alleys mean more off-track doors and older hardware worth replacing as a set.

North Mountain, Paradise Valley Village and Deer Valley

Homes from the 1960s and 1970s through the 1990s, from Moon Valley to the I-17 corridor. Many doors still run on original springs and cables, and older chain-drive openers keep going past their parts life.

Desert View and North Gateway: Desert Ridge and the far north

Master-planned neighborhoods from the 2000s onward, where original springs and openers are now wearing out together and HOA rules set the look of a new door.

Ahwatukee Foothills and South Mountain

Homes below and around South Mountain, many in HOA communities, with sun on west-facing doors, dust off the desert and bottom seals that flatten in the heat.

Maryvale, Alhambra and Estrella

Block homes from the 1950s through the 1970s and newer subdivisions to the southwest. Rollers, tracks and seals are the steady calls, along with doors knocked out of the track in tight driveways.

Laveen

Newer subdivisions and older homes in the southwest corner of the city, where dust storms push grit into tracks and the bottom seal. Laveen addresses use ZIP code 85339.

What the heat and the monsoon do

Phoenix summers are hard on every part of a garage door. Springs near the end of their cycles break more often in the heat, opener circuit boards fail in garages that run well over a hundred degrees, bottom seals bake flat and crack, and sun-facing steel fades and warps. Summer monsoon storms and dust storms push grit into tracks, rollers and sensor lenses, and a door left partly open in a gust can bend its track. A check of the springs, rollers and seals before the hottest months catches most of it.

Through the year across Phoenix

  • Winter Mild weather, a good time to replace worn rollers, seals and springs before the heat.
  • Spring Openers and springs checked before summer; sun damage on panels assessed.
  • Summer Springs and opener boards failing in the heat, seals baked flat, monsoon dust in the tracks.
  • Fall Tracks and sensors cleaned after the dust storms, seals and weatherstrip replaced.

Alleys, HOAs and gated communities

Many central Phoenix homes have detached garages reached from an alley; say on the call whether the technician should come to the alley or the front. Master-planned communities and gated neighborhoods often have HOA rules for door styles and colors, and a gate code or someone to open the gate saves time. Shared condominium garages use commercial doors that are not handled here; private garages inside a townhome are.

How visits are scheduled

Visits are booked into the next open window during call hours and grouped by area, so technicians already working nearby take the job. Giving your neighborhood or nearest cross streets helps set the most accurate window. I-10, I-17, Loop 101, Loop 202 and SR 51 tie the city together, so the far north and the far south are booked the same way as the middle.

Before the technician arrives

  • Say the neighborhood or cross streets It helps set the window for the visit.
  • Keep clear of a door that is hanging or crooked It can drop or swing out.
  • Unplug the opener if the door is stuck partway Running it can bend the door and the track.
  • Note the gate code or alley access So the technician can reach the garage.

Every repair, from springs to openers, is covered in more on garage door repair here in Phoenix.

Newer homes across the city

Newer subdivisions in Laveen, Estrella and the far north were built with insulated steel doors, torsion springs and belt-drive openers. Those parts are reaching the age when springs and opener boards start to fail, often within a few years of each other. When one fails, the technician checks the rest of the system so the next call does not come a month later.
